Templates are the foundation for drafting documents in Oun. While Oun comes with state-specific templates, you can upload your own for forms and documents specific to your brokerage.

Who can upload templates

Any user can access the Upload Templates page, but templates are typically managed by admins or brokers who want to standardize forms across their team.

How to upload a template

  1. Click Upload Templates in the sidebar
  2. Drag and drop a PDF or click to select one
  3. Fill in the template details:
    • Title — the name that will appear when drafting (e.g., “Brokerage Disclosure Form”)
    • Document type — the category of document
    • State — which state this template applies to
    • Brokerage — which brokerage this template belongs to
    • Promulgator — the form promulgator, if applicable
  4. Click Upload
The template is processed and becomes available for drafting in deals that match the state and brokerage settings.

Using uploaded templates

Once uploaded, the template appears in the list when you or your team asks Homie to draft a document. Homie matches templates based on your deal’s state and your profile settings. Ask Homie: “What documents can I create?” to see all available templates for your current deal.

Template best practices

  • Use clean PDFs — templates with clearly defined form fields work best for field detection
  • Name templates clearly — use descriptive names so your team can find them easily
  • Set the correct state — templates only appear for deals in the matching state
  • Upload one template per document type — avoid duplicates to prevent confusion
Uploaded templates are shared across your organization. Any team member working on a deal in the matching state will see the template as an option.
