Linking a deal connects your Oun transaction to a SkySlope sale or listing, enabling document sync and data flow between the two platforms. When SkySlope is connected and a deal has no linked transaction, Oun shows a prompt in the SkySlope section reminding you to link or create one. You’ll see two options: Link Existing and Create in SkySlope.

Linking to an existing SkySlope transaction

If the transaction already exists in SkySlope:
  1. Open your deal and go to Deal Data
  2. In the SkySlope section, click Link Existing (or use the transaction dropdown directly)
  3. Search by property address
  4. Select the matching transaction:
    • For sales: Linked SkySlope Transaction
    • For listings: Linked SkySlope Listing
  5. Choose your Office and Checklist Type
  6. Click Sync with SkySlope to push your current data

Creating a SkySlope transaction from an existing deal

If the transaction doesn’t exist in SkySlope yet, you can create it directly from Oun:
  1. Open the deal and go to Deal Data
  2. In the SkySlope section, click Create in SkySlope
  3. A guided modal walks you through three steps:
Step 1: SkySlope details
  • Select your Office
  • Select a Checklist Type
Step 2: Property address
  • Enter the property address (pre-filled from your deal data if available)
  • Street number, street name, unit, city, state, ZIP
Step 3: Transaction details For sales: sale price, contract acceptance date, closing date, MLS number For listings: list price, listing date, listing expiration date, MLS number
  1. Click Create Sale or Create Listing
  2. The SkySlope transaction is created and automatically linked to your deal
The “Create in SkySlope” option works for any deal type — purchases, listings for sale, leases, and listings for lease. Oun automatically determines whether to create a sale or listing based on your deal type and status.

Linking during deal creation

You can also link or create SkySlope transactions when you first create a deal from the dashboard:
  1. Click New Deal
  2. Under SkySlope integration, choose Link existing transaction or Create in SkySlope
  3. Follow the same flow as above
  4. Deal data is pre-filled from SkySlope when linking

Listing-to-sale conversion

When a listing goes under contract, you need to promote it in SkySlope and link the new sale transaction. Oun guides you through this automatically.

How it works

When you change a listing deal’s status from Pre-Contract to Under Contract (and the deal already has a SkySlope listing linked), a guided conversion modal appears: Step 1: Promote in SkySlope
  1. Click Open SkySlope to go directly to SkySlope
  2. Find your listing in SkySlope
  3. Go to the Checklist tab and click Accepted Contract
  4. Click Create Transaction to promote the listing to a sale
  5. Return to Oun and click Next
Step 2: Link the sale
  1. Oun searches for the newly created sale automatically
  2. If a match is found (by property address or deal name), it’s suggested for you
  3. Select the sale from the dropdown and click Link Sale
Step 3: Confirm
  • The sale is linked and documents will sync to the sale transaction going forward

If you close the modal before linking

No problem — Oun shows a persistent “Link now” nudge in the SkySlope section of your deal:
“Your SkySlope listing needs to be promoted to a sale transaction.”
Click “Link now →” to reopen the conversion modal and pick up where you left off. The modal recognizes you’ve already been through the promote step and lets you skip ahead to linking.

Auto-sync settings

After linking, configure how data syncs between Oun and SkySlope:

Access these settings from the gear icon next to the SkySlope sync button.
Auto-sync deal data is off by default because it overwrites any changes you’ve made directly in SkySlope. Only enable it if Oun is your primary source of truth.

Not if auto-sync is enabled. Manual sync is available anytime via the Sync with SkySlope button for immediate pushes.
