Starting a Deal And Drafting Contracts

Step 1: Accept your invitation

  1. You’ll receive an invitation email from your admin
  2. Click the link to accept the invitation
  3. If you don’t have an Oun account yet, click Sign Up to create one with your email and password
  4. Complete the onboarding wizard — you’ll enter your personal info, role (Agent or Broker), license details, and state
Once complete, you’ll land on your deals dashboard.
Invite links expire after 7 days. Contact your admin for a new link if you haven’t signed up by this time.

Step 2: Create your first deal

  1. From the Deals dashboard, click New Deal
  2. Enter the transaction name
  3. Choose your transaction type: Purchase, Listing for Sale, Lease, Listing for Lease, or Other
  4. Click Create Deal
Optional: Assign a checklist You’ll land on the documents page for your new deal.
If you have SkySlope connected, you can link an existing SkySlope transaction during deal creation instead of starting from scratch.

Step 3: Add a document

You have two options: Ask Homie
  1. Open the Homie chat from your deal
  2. Ask: “Draft a purchase agreement”
  3. Homie creates the document from your state-specific template
  4. You can also upload documents via the chat

  1. In any folder, click the + icon
  2. Choose whether to upload an existing document or draft from the templates menu
  3. The document appears in your deal’s document list

Step 4: Edit document fields

  1. Review the document Homie drafted
  2. Request edits to the document via the chat

  1. Click on a document to open the PDF editor
  2. Click any field to fill it in — buyer name, closing date, price, etc.
  3. Click Save when you’re done

Step 5: Send for signatures

You have two options: Send a single document via the pdf editor
  1. In the PDF editor, click Send for Signatures
  2. Assign signers to each role (buyer, seller, etc.)
  3. Confirm and send

  1. In the documents view, select all the documents you want to send in a single envelope
  2. Confirm and send
Or ask Homie: “Can you send the purchase agreement and financing addendum for signatures?”
Recipients get an email from DocuSign and can sign from any device.
