Beyond documents, Homie helps you manage the operational side of your deals — data, deadlines, scheduling, and reminders.

Updating deal data

Ask Homie to update any field on your deal:
  • “Change the closing date to May 15”
  • “Update the buyer’s phone number to 555-987-6543”
  • “Set the contract price to $500,000”
  • “Add the seller’s email as bob@email.com
To see what fields are available: “What fields can I edit on this deal?”

Changing deal status

Move your deal through the transaction lifecycle:
  • “Mark this deal as under contract”
  • “Close this deal”
  • “Cancel this transaction”
  • “Archive this deal”
Status changes can trigger automatic actions — for example, canceling a deal removes pending calendar events.

Calendar events

Homie integrates with your calendar to manage deal-related events. Create an event:
“Schedule the closing for March 15 at 2pm” “Create a calendar invite for the inspection on Tuesday at 10am”
Update an event:
“Move the closing to March 20” “Change the inspection time to 3pm”
Cancel an event:
“Cancel the closing calendar invite”
Attendees receive calendar invitations and updates automatically. View events:
“What calendar events are on this deal?”

Reminders

Set up reminders so you don’t miss important deadlines. Reminders send notifications to you and relevant parties — they won’t automatically execute actions on your behalf. One-time reminders:
“Remind me to follow up with the buyer on Friday”
Recurring reminders:
“Set a weekly reminder to check on the appraisal” “Create a daily reminder about the inspection contingency until March 20”
Available frequencies: one-time, daily, weekly, monthly Manage reminders:
“What reminders are set on this deal?” “Remove the weekly buyer follow-up reminder”

Communication

Homie can draft and send emails on your behalf through your connected email account: Deal-related emails:
“Email the buyer’s agent about the inspection results” “Send the title company a note about the closing date change”
Meeting and scheduling emails:
“Email the buyer to schedule a showing for Tuesday at 2pm” “Send a meeting invite for the walkthrough”
Homie drafts the message based on your deal context and sends it from your email account. Email is the supported communication channel — if you ask Homie to text someone, it will offer to send an email instead.

Expert guidance

Homie can answer real estate questions and give state-specific advice without taking any action. It cross-references public property records, county data, and tax records to ground its guidance in real facts about your specific property and jurisdiction.
“What’s the standard inspection period in Texas?” “What disclosures are required for this deal?” “Walk me through the option period process” “Is this property in a flood zone?” “Does this property have an HOA?”
This is useful when you need quick, reliable guidance on forms, processes, timelines, or property-specific requirements without looking it up yourself.
When you update deadline fields in deal data (like closing date), any linked calendar events update automatically. Change the date once and everything stays in sync.
